Until recently, families completing the Resource Family Approval (RFA) process were not eligible for foster care funding until approved.
AB 110 provided interim financial assistance from March 30, 2018 through June 30, 2018 for emergency caregivers who accepted placement of a child prior to RFA approval. The passage of AB 1811 extends the funding into the current fiscal year (July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019).
