It is an honor to share with you the Alliance for Children’s Rights’ 2020-2021 Impact Report.
With thanks to our partners and generous supporters, last year the Alliance championed our young clients’ needs through the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic. We provided nearly 6,000 children and young adults in foster care and guardianships with critical legal advocacy and social services and trained over 10,500 partners to navigate bureaucracies and access services. At the same time, we advanced system-wide change to create a more family-centered and equitable child welfare system, launching an initiative to address systemic racism and economic disparities in the child welfare system.
There is still more work to do, as children and families in foster care continue to endure barriers that have become even more daunting during the pandemic – with court restrictions, school closures, disproportionate health and economic burdens, and limited community resources. As a committed champion for equity and justice, and energized by your support, the Alliance will take on the challenges ahead and improve the lives of thousands of kids and families.
Please give today, to help us create hope, restore justice, and generate opportunity for children and young adults — when they need us now, and in the years ahead.
In solidarity and gratitude,
Jennifer L. Braun
