Accessibility

Alliance for Children’s Rights is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

If you use assistive technology (such as a Braille reader, a screen reader, or TTY) and the format of any material on this website interferes with your ability to access information, please contact us.  If you do encounter an accessibility issue, please be sure to specify the Web page, and we will make all reasonable efforts to make the page accessible for you.  Users who need accessibility assistance can also contact us by dialing 711 to reach the California Relay Service (CRS). Dialing 711 is for everyone, not just those who have difficulty hearing on a standard telephone. Friends, family, and business contacts can dial 711 for Relay calls, too. If you prefer having your calls immediately answered in your mode of communication, you can reach us by dialing one of the toll-free modality- and language-specific numbers below.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Alliance for Children’s Rights website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Additional accessibility considerations

Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Images of text are only used for decorative purposes. Re-authentication after a session expires does not cause loss of data.
