Accessing Child Care in a Time of Crisis

COVID-19, policy, Child Care

Available safe child care is vital for essential workers and vulnerable populations and will be crucial for families as the state and counties transition to lifting stay at home orders.

Panelists provided information on new policies to facilitate child care for children of critical infrastructure workers, as well as those in vulnerable populations, including children at risk of abuse or neglect, and those with disabilities. In addition, panelists offered insights on healthy and safe practices in child care settings during the COVID-19 pandemic to assist families in assessing child care options and preparing children to return to child care settings.
