COVID-19, policy, TAY

This training for DCFS staff focused on how to build a strong Supplemental Security Income (SSI) application for transition age youth (TAY) to ensure continued supportive benefits, including reviewing recommended steps for preparing the application packet and completing the necessary Social Security Administration forms for non-minor dependents.

The training also provided background information about SSI benefits for TAY, discussing the screening process, SSI eligibility requirements, and why SSI is a critical benefit for TAY with disabilities.
