Resources in a Time of Crisis: Supporting Children, Youth and Families in Foster Care

This webinar provided details on the new laws, policies and guidance that have been issued in response to COVID-19 that impact children and families in the child welfare system, including changes to monthly social worker visits, family visitation, court hearings, and foster care funding, supports and services.

Panelists also discussed other resources available to support children/youth and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic including new policies to support access to housing, health care, food assistance, unemployment insurance, sick leave, and other sources of financial assistance.

The Alliance for Children’s Rights protects the rights of impoverished, abused and neglected children and youth.
