COVID-19, policy, education

An overview of the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP) with recommendations for schools and stakeholders to support students with unique needs.

Recent legislation requires school districts, charter schools and county offices of education to describe, through the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP), how their plan will: provide in-person instruction whenever possible and a distance learning option, address student learning loss, support student mental health and social-emotional well-being, and ensure increased or improved services for students with unique needs, including foster youth, youth experiencing homelessness and those involved in the juvenile justice system.

This webinar provided a brief overview of the requirements, best practices from the field and recommendations to support, engage and address the learning needs of students with unique needs. School district staff responsible for the development and implementation of the LCP who support students with unique needs and stakeholders participated in the discussion.
