Sarah Manimalethu

Director of Local Advocacy

Sarah Manimalethu (she/her), Director of Local Advocacy, leads the Alliance’s local government advocacy efforts to promote and protect the rights of young people in foster care. She is responsible for developing and implementing strategic advocacy plans at the County and City of Los Angeles and engages with a range of stakeholders to elevate systemic concerns and promote meaningful solutions to housing and homelessness issues impacting transition age youth.

Before joining the Alliance, Sarah worked as an associate at a Miami law firm heading the probate and guardianship division. Sarah is licensed to practice law in California and Florida. She lives with her partner and her dog, Elaine, in Glendale.
