
Meghan Grim
Meghan Grim is a Senior Staff Attorney in the Education Program at the Alliance with over a decade of experience helping children and families impacted by the child welfare system.
Specializing in special education advocacy, Meghan represents foster youth with disabilities in IEP meetings, informal dispute resolution, and due process matters across Los Angeles County school districts, securing the evaluations, services, and placements her clients need to succeed in school.
Before joining the Alliance, Meghan represented children at the Children’s Law Center of California, served as County Counsel representing the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services in dependency proceedings, and represented parents as appointed appellate counsel before the Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth District Courts of Appeal. She has advocated from every counsel table in the children’s court.
Meghan earned her JD from USC Gould School of Law and her BA from Loyola Marymount University. She lives with her two kids in Hermosa Beach.
