Senior Paralegal and Advocate, Education Program

Gabriela Posada (she/they|ella/elle) is a Senior Paralegal and Advocate for the Education program at the Alliance for Children’s Rights, serving babies and young people in early intervention and special education matters.
Gabriela earned a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2024, where she participated in the Workers’ Rights Legal Clinic, Immigration Legal Clinic (advocating at the intersection of immigration status and disability, including policy research for pardon applications), and co-founded Disability Justice, a student organization advocating for equitable accommodations and building community among law students with disabilities. Her experience also includes work with Disability Rights California (supporting monolingual Spanish speakers with disabilities in the regional center system) and Legal Aid at Work’s Work and Family Team (addressing issues at the intersection of labor, disability, and maternity).
Before law school, Gabriela worked in Austin, TX for five years with Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas and the Pro Bono Program at Texas Law, sealing and expunging criminal records, conducting clinics for name and gender marker changes, and helping people with disabilities create supported decision-making agreements. She holds a double major in English Literature and Women’s & Gender Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
Gabriela lives in San Diego, California, with her cats, Ollie and Bruno.
