Elsa Nethercot

Attorney, Education Program

Elsa Nethercot is an Education Program Attorney at the Alliance with experience advocating for the education rights of children with disabilities. She works with caregivers, school districts, regional centers and service providers to ensure children with disabilities are assessed and receive the services they need to thrive at school.
Before joining the Alliance in 2025, Elsa worked at Mental Health Advocacy Services, where she provided special education advocacy for low-income students with disabilities. She is passionate about serving system-involved youth and advancing education access for children with disabilities.
Elsa earned a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from USC. She is a Los Angeles native and a member of the California Bar.
