Cathy Yacoub

Cathy Yacoub (she/her) is the Pro Bono Director at the Alliance and has several years of experience managing the pro bono and volunteer programs.

Specializing in recruiting and training the Alliance’s extensive group of attorney volunteers, Cathy places hundreds of cases with dedicated attorneys from a variety of professional backgrounds across Los Angeles.

Before joining the Alliance, Cathy worked with a non-profit foundation and also spent several years recruiting attorneys at a large national firm. She has a legal background in environmental litigation.

Since joining in 2016, Cathy has helped the Alliance expand both its law firm and in-house corporate counsel volunteer programs. She has also helped grow the internal non-attorney volunteer group that is critical to supporting the Alliance’s work.

Cathy received her J.D. from Georgetown Law Center and her B.A. in communications studies and political science from UCLA. She lives with her boyfriend and dog in Orange County.
