Alliance Completes L.A.’s Third Probation Adoption

On Tuesday, June 4, the Alliance completed its third probation adoption–also the third-ever in Los Angeles County. Probation adoptions are rare with only eight ever occurring across the nation, making the occasion something to celebrate. The Alliance is part of the Probation Permanency Committee–a collaboration with the courts and the Los Angeles County Probation and Children and Family Services departments. The collaboration launched in 2005 to give youth like Fred Jingles (pictured above) the opportunity to live in a safe, stable and loving home through adoption. All youth deserve this opportunity and through this multi-agency collaboration, more and more youth will have a solid foundation on which to launch a bright future.

To learn more about Fred’s adoption, read a story by the Pasadena Sun.
