Debbie Cohen
Controller
Debbie Cohen (she/her) became the Controller for Alliance for Children’s Rights in September 2017. Before joining the Alliance full-time, Debbie worked 35 years as a contractor solely for nonprofit organizations all over Los Angeles, including the Alliance, since 2001.
As the controller, Debbie is responsible for the integrity of the financial records, including maintaining the data, financial reporting to the CFO, payroll onboarding and processing, and audit preparations. Debbie’s specialty is the annual audit, which she has managed since joining the organization as a contractor. The greatest reward of working for the Alliance is knowing how many children’s lives have been helped.
