THE GEORGE ZAJFEN TOURNAMENT – TENNIS FOR TOTS RAISES $176,000 FOR THE ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN’S RIGHTS
LOS ANGELES, September 14, 2024 – This past Saturday, The George Zajfen Tournament – Tennis for Tots, raised an astounding $176,000 to support the Alliance for Children’s Rights. The event is hosted by Kelly, Julian, and Lily Zajfen in honor of George Oliver Zajfen, this beloved tradition has once again brought together community members, celebrities, and supporters to raise awareness for the critical work being done to protect the rights of young people impacted by the foster care system.
“It means so much to our family to see the community come together, not only to remember George but to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many children and families,” said Kelly Zajfen, Alliance for Children’s Rights Board Member and Alliance for Mom’s Co-Founder.
The tournament, presented by The Archewell Foundation and Ziffren Brittenham LLP, saw enthusiastic participation from players and spectators alike. The funds raised will directly benefit the Alliance for Children’s Rights, providing crucial support for children and families impacted by foster care, and ensuring they have access to the opportunities they deserve.
The Archewell Foundation was represented at the tournament by its founders, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Other notable guests included: Zooey Deschanel, Jonathan Scott, Zach Braff, Amanda Kloots, Ron Livingston, Rosemarie DeWitt, Abigail Spencer, Mark Feuerstein, Lindsay Price, and Curtis Stone. The sense of community and support was palpable throughout the day.
“The success of this year’s tournament is a testament to the dedication of our community,” said Jennifer Braun, CEO and President of the Alliance for Children’s Rights. “With every contribution, we move closer to every child having access to stability, health, learning, and opportunity.”
