Susan Flores

Susan Flores (she/her) is a Healthcare and SSI Staff Attorney at the Alliance with experience helping historically harmed communities access healthcare coverage and obtain the care they need to participate and belong in their communities fully.

Specializing in healthcare coverage for low-income people, Susan advocates for high quality services and care within the Medi-Cal program. Our healthcare coverage systems are challenging to navigate, and Susan believes overcoming barriers to care is essential to leading a happy and fulfilling life.

Before joining the Alliance, Susan worked as an advocate for Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles, Maternal and Child Health Access, and the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network. Through these positions she has helped clients reactivate their Medi-Cal, appeal denials in care, and find appropriate providers.

Susan earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
