Robert Argomaniz

Executive Assistant to VP, Legal and Program Services

Robert Argomaniz serves as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Legal and Program Services, supporting older youth in foster care by supervising all DCFS SSI cases referred through the Alliance’s community intake system and by partner agencies, including the Children’s Law Center of California (CLC).. He works closely with CLC and pro bono attorneys to develop strong SSI appeals for administrative SSI hearings. In addition, Robert has handled SSI requests for reconsiderations, SSI Survivor’s Benefits as well as SSI overpayment and waivers cases. Along with his SSI caseload, Robert works with the Alliance Transition Age Youth (TAY) program assisting older youth in obtaining benefits and services related to emancipation, birth certificate, Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), and adoption cases. Robert is passionate about his work and especially dedicated to helping SSI youth in foster care obtain appropriate benefits and services. He has over 30 years of experience working with SSI clients, including positions with the Los Angeles County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Info Line – 211 LA County, and the CBEST program. Robert has played a critical role in the Alliance for Children’s Rights’ SSI and TAY programs for over nine years.
