Jennifer Peña (she/her/ella) is a legal assistant at the Alliance, helping caregivers in foster care, guardianship, and adoption secure monthly funding.
Specializing in public benefits, Jennifer helps stabilize placements by ensuring families receive the financial support they need to continue caring for the children placed in their homes.
Since joining the Alliance in 2021, Jennifer has been advocating for families who are not receiving the appropriate monthly funds and has secured substantial retroactive and prospective funding for minors with specialized needs.
Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and Chicano/a and Latino/a studies from California State University, Long Beach.
