Child Participation—Rights and Responsibilities

Gerison Lansdown, an internationally renowned advocate and researcher in child rights, will be presenting on the principles of child participation as a fundamental right of all children.  Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is one of the principle articles of the Convention, but one that has posed great challenges to implementation.   Ms. Lansdown will discuss the importance of this right to the health and well-being of children, and strategies to implement it.  Fulfilling this right will forever change the relationships of children to professionals and society.
