The Southern Cone Initiative on Child Rights and Health is holding a 3-day meeting in Uruguay from 28-30 May 2010
The Southern Cone Initiative on Child Rights and Health, composed of Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and Paraguay, will update the work done by the 5 countries for the last …. years on CRED-PRO in the region. The Initiative will also work on developing two additional CRED-PRO modules for the region: one on child participation, and the second on child rights evaluation.
The Initiative will also discuss development of advocacy videos on rights and health. During the event, there will be a market place to share experiences, materials and publication (including a compilation of the presentations of the recent meeting held in Geneva on child rights and health) and the website of the Alliance.
CRED-PRO will also participate in this meeting along with the IIN (El Instituto Interamericano del Niño, la Niña y Adolescentes/Interamerican Child Institute) regarding a cooperation plan in 3 Latin American and 1 Caribbean country.
One outcome of the event will be a series of advocacy papers on child rights and health and the importance of child rights education for health professionals.
